The Rockies come into Boston for a quick two game series starting Tuesday and as I have just reached Boston now I will be there to see the Wednesday game and the first game of the Jays series on Thursday! As a long time Red Sox fan I have only been to Fenway once in my life so I am very excited for this week and even more excited to bring you the preview to these games! The last time the Rockies came to Fenway was in 2007 during the World Series in which the Sox beat them up including one of the games ending 13-1! Sox fans would not mind seeing that score again. The Rockies and Red Sox last met in 2010, when Colorado took two of three from Boston at Coors Field. Franklin Morales will undergo an exam on his ailing left shoulder on Monday. The southpaw departed Saturday's loss to Detroit with discomfort in the area. The Red Sox have opted not to make a roster move until they know the extent of the injury. Morales is 2-0 with a 7.30 ERA in six appearances this season.

Game 1: Ryan Dempster (4-8) vs. Juan Nicasio (4-2)

Dempster has been a model of consistency in June. He's recorded a quality start in each of his four outings during the month, posting a 3.48 ERA. He surrendered three runs over six innings in his last outing vs. the Rays, but took the loss. The Sox offense has failed to back Dempster up when he needs it but he has looked very well in his last few starts as he does stand at 2-3 in June but has pitched some of his best baseball of the season for himself. To face him will be righty Juan Nicasio who holds an ERA just under 5.00. This starter is seeking his first win since May 19 as he strides to become the Rockies ace. The last team Nicasio faced was the Jays who beat him on their road to an 11 game winning streak bringing them very cloe to the Sox in the divison. Nicasio hasn't pitched deep into games, but he was competitive in his last outing, a loss at Toronto. Nicasio went five innings, throwing 97 pitches, and gave up four hits and four runs, but just two were earned.

Prediction: Sox win 5-3
